Does politics have anything to do at universities? Apparently, a lot. The university is not limited to providing professional knowledge. It also plays an important role in engaging students to discuss, argue and participate in public policy issues. At the same time, this shouldn’t be a reason for bringing party politics and political brainwashing to campus.
Eötvös Károly Policy Institute addressed such questions in its guidelines on discussing party politics at the university and its six-part forum series in Budapest and in countryside university centrums.
